Founder’s Note

Throughout my life, I have looked up to my parents as a true example of welcoming Indian hospitality. I grew up in Kerala in a joint family household where it was customary for the whole family to live under one roof. There was no dearth of laughter, love and care. We had frequent visitors, and most of them would stay for days on end, but not a frown would crease my parents face as the guests poured in. My parents’ selfless nature and their happiness at being able to create warm memories for our guests rubbed off on me as a child. At Alaya, we live by these principles of hospitality and creating lifelong experiences for our guests. Each journey is thoughtfully curated to ensure our guests experience the best the world has to offer. Let’s tread the world together, as one family.
